Following the footsteps of the Airbnb system, gave me an outlook on the main design question. During the design process, keywords like "privacy", "circulation" and "co-living" were some of the answers that came to the main design question which is "How a house and Airbnb can coexist together without corrupting one another and supporting some personal spaces". So the garage was the biggest component of a division in the layout moreover the main living space has the highest ceiling. When playing with the design, it occurred to me how to maintain a system which could work separately or collectively, independently or dependently coexisting together using the timber framing structure with a luxurious contemporary interior design. The owners of the house should be able to provide their privacy both in the garden or inner spaces; so every settlement and placement had made towards that idea. So both the owners' suit and Airbnb suit has their own gardens, entrances, and private spaces while still building a connection between those suits.
Airbnb sisteminin izinden giderek, ana tasarım sorusuna dair bir bakış açısı kazandım. Tasarım sürecinde “mahremiyet”, “dolaşım” ve “ortak yaşam” gibi anahtar kelimeler, “Bir ev ve Airbnb nasıl birbirini bozmayacak şekilde birlikte var olabilir ve kişisel alanları destekleyebilir?” sorusuna yanıtlar oldu. Bu nedenle, garaj plan düzenindeki en büyük bölme öğesi olurken, ana yaşam alanı en yüksek tavan yüksekliğine sahip oldu. Tasarım üzerinde çalışırken, ahşap karkas yapı kullanarak, lüks ve çağdaş iç tasarım ile hem bağımsız hem de birlikte işleyebilen bir sistemi nasıl kurabileceğimi düşündüm. Ev sahipleri, hem bahçede hem de iç mekânlarda mahremiyetlerini koruyabilmeliydi; bu yüzden tüm yerleşim ve düzenlemeler bu fikir doğrultusunda yapıldı. Böylece hem ev sahiplerinin süiti hem de Airbnb süiti kendi bahçelerine, girişlerine ve özel alanlarına sahip olurken, aralarında bir bağ da kurulmuş oldu.
