URCHEA DARK HOME BEDROOM AND BATHROOM RENOVATION
A bedroom and bathroom renovation was carried out upon the request of a Turkish client. The former bedroom was transformed into a hobby room by removing the wardrobe and bed. The project, which progressed with dark tones and contrasts, was entirely shaped around the selected sofa. Since the sofa was requested in brown tones, the design took inspiration from this point. The glass blocks in the original room were removed. Instead, a colour scheme featuring two different wall colours and one wallpaper was chosen. The ceilings were left unchanged. The TV unit featured three different wood tones along with marble behind the TV. Similar dark tones were also used in the bookshelf. Lighting was used to highlight the furniture. The stylish coffee table with an integrated pouffe not only provided extra seating but also saved space as it could be nested.
In the original bathroom layout, the washing machine was in an impractical location. When redesigning the bathroom, relocating the washing machine to a more convenient spot was a priority. The design began from this point. I also believe the door was installed in the wrong orientation. Although I did not alter the door, if there is no obstacle, reversing its direction could be considered. Since there is a radiator behind it, keeping it as is might also be reasonable. In my opinion, it is better for the door to open against the wall rather than the shower. The bathroom design combined brown, orange, black, and grey tones. Above the concealed cistern, a shelf and hidden cabinet were added, while a continuation of the shelf appeared inside the shower as a shampoo niche. A custom cabinet was also designed for the washing machine.
Banyonun eski halinde çamaşır makinesi kullanışsız bir konumdaydı. Banyo tasarlanırken çamaşır makinesinin rahat bir yere taşınması öncelikliydi. Tasarıma buradan başlandı. Ayrıca kapının ters yönde olduğunu düşünüyorum. Her ne kadar kapıya müdahale etmemiş olsam da, uygulamada engel yoksa kapının yönünü tersine çevirme fikri değerlendirilebilir. Arkada radyatör olduğu için mevcut haliyle bırakmak da uygun olabilir. Bana göre, kapının açıldığında duvara değmesi, duşa değmesinden daha iyidir. Banyoda kahverengi, turuncu, siyah ve gri tonları birlikte kullanıldı. Gömme rezervuarın üstünde raf ve gizli dolap yer alırken, rafın devamı niteliğinde duş içinde de bir şampuan rafı tasarlandı. Çamaşır makinesi için özel bir dolap üretildi.
